# Everton: Fans hail Patrick Boyland’s transfer update on Cenk Tosun

**Many Everton fans have been left hailing a transfer update on Cenk Tosun as Patrick Boyland has reported that CSKA Moscow are interested in him.**

As per [The Athletic](https://theathletic.com/2284088/2021/01/26/transfer-news-live-rumours-football/) journalist, the former Besiktas man is subject to an enquiry from the Russian club to take him on a short-term loan deal.

The Turkey international has not exactly pulled up trees since making his move to the Goodison Park faithful a few years ago, scoring a mere 11 goals and making just six assists in 58 games in total over all competitions across the last four consecutive terms ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/cenk-tosun/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/45671/plus/0?saison=&verein=29&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=)).

Thus, with just a few days of the January window remaining, it would be a wise idea for the Merseyside club to get the 29-year-old off of the wage books and potentially invest in another striker to give some more sufficient cover to Dominic Calvert-Lewin up top for Carlo Ancelotti’s team.
