# Everton: Fans laud links to Abdoulaye Doucoure and Ibrahim Sangare

**Plenty of Everton fans have been lauding the latest transfer links to both Watford ace Abdoulaye Doucoure and Toulouse man Ibrahim Sangare as the [Daily Express](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1322397/Everton-transfer-news-Allan-deal-Carlo-Ancelotti-Napoli-talks) have reported that they are among the options for Carlo Ancelotti to strengthen in the middle of the park.**

Doucoure has been the subject of interest from the Merseyside club before in this summer window, but Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are also said to be [interested](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/everton-fc-transfer-rumours/everton-fans-laud-link-to-watford-ace-abdoulaye-doucoure-arsenal-also-interested/) in his services.

The Toffees were also [linked](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1276933/Everton-Newcastle-takeover-Ibrahim-Sangare-transfer-Toulouse-relegation-Ligue-1) to Sangare back in May, but may face competition from Steve Bruce’s Newcastle United for his signature.

Both central midfield players could be seen as perhaps a cheaper alternative to SSC Napoli midfielder Allan, as the Blues are reportedly close to reaching an agreement to sign him, but he would cost a quite whopping [£49.18 million](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/everton-fc-transfer-rumours/everton-fans-excited-allan-transfer-latest-deal-close/) in total when you take into account the potential transfer fee and wages.

Comparing the stats of all three men in their respective domestic leagues in the 2019/20 season, Doucoure and Sangare actually averaged more interceptions, clearances, blocks, shots, key passes and dribbles per game, according to [Whoscored](https://www.whoscored.com/PlayerComparison).
