# Everton: Fans laud transfer update as Toffees no longer interested in Ryan Fraser

**Many Everton fans have welcomed a transfer update from the [Daily Express](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1299551/Watford-news-Crystal-Palace-battle-Ryan-Fraser-Bournemouth-exit-EXCLUSIVE-news) as the Merseyside club are apparently no longer interested in signing Ryan Fraser in the upcoming summer transfer window.**

As per the outlet, Tottenham also seem to have dropped out of the race as Crystal Palace and Watford have now emerged as the front-runners in fighting for his signature.

The 26-year old is out of contract in the summer and will be allowed to leave for free, presenting a possible opportunity for clubs to swoop in given that no transfer fee would be required to attain his services.

However, Fraser has arguably failed to impress so far in the 2019/20 season, scoring just one goal and providing a mere four assists in 32 games in all competitions, according to [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ryan-fraser/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/146795/plus/0?saison=2019&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=).

One Everton supporter claimed that he would only “block Anthony Gordon’s progress for someone good”, as the attacking midfield prospect has featured in four senior matches, including Sunday’s Merseyside derby against Liverpool, so far in this campaign (via [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/anthony-gordon/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/503733/plus/0?saison=2019&verein=29&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=)).

These Toffees fans on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/EvertonNewsFeed/status/1275458287601954818) welcomed the update as they do not seem keen on signing up the Scottish international, who may well block Gordon’s progress and has not had the most productive of seasons for the Cherries:
