# Everton: Fans laud Yannick Bolasie transfer update

**Many Everton fans were left to laud the transfer update given by the Goodison Park faithful on Yannick Bolasie.**

As per the official [website](https://www.evertonfc.com/news/2000654/bolasie-joins-middlesbrough-on-loan) of the Merseyside club, the 31-year-old has moved to Middlesbrough on a loan deal for the rest of the 2020/21 term.

If Bolasie performs well in the EFL Championship, then a permanent move to Neil Warnock’s team could well be on the cards, which would suit the Toffees.

The DR Congo international has only managed to score a mere two goals and make just four assists in 32 games in total in all competitions over two consecutive seasons for the Blues, and has not made a senior appearance for them since 2018 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/yannick-bolasie/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/75471/plus/0?saison=&verein=29&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=)).

Nonetheless, his departure, albeit on loan, will free up some wages and space in the squad, as Carlo Ancelotti’s side ponders making any signings before this month’s window shuts.
