# Everton: Fans loving the link potential Jordan Pickford replacement Jasper Cillessen

**Everton have been linked to potential Jordan Pickford replacement Jasper Cillessen from Valencia.**

The Toffees continue to suffer defensively after the England international struggled against Fleetwood Town on Wednesday. Pickford made a [huge error](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcCR2MZ6ni8) which led to the visitors’ first goal of the game. The second came just ten minutes later after he failed to save a shot from Callum Camps, which was straight at him.

It seems the club are looking to strengthen their options in the net and have registered interest in the Dutch shot-stopper.

According to Marca (relayed via [@EvertonNewsFeed](https://twitter.com/EvertonNewsFeed/status/1309111506810867713)), Everton have already submitted an offer for the 31-year-old, but it was less than Valencia’s £32million asking price.

Some Blues fans have responded to this transfer update and are eager to bring in a replacement for [controversial figure Pickford.](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/everton-fc-transfer-rumours/everton-fans-hail-possible-jordan-pickford-exit-chelsea-transfer-reports/)

One supporter has urged the club to ‘get him in time for Palace’ on Saturday whilst another has already branded him as ‘better than Pickford’.
