# Everton fans may get on board with latest multi-million transfer reports

**While the Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern are complaining about the state of their new kit, they’ve been met with some rather big news.**

According to the [Daily Mail,](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4512310/Everton-demand-50million-Ross-Barkley.html) the Toffees will look to command a fee of around [£50m](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4512310/Everton-demand-50million-Ross-Barkley.html) for Ross Barkley should he leave the club this summer. The England international has [reportedly](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4512310/Everton-demand-50million-Ross-Barkley.html) been set a deadline over signing a new deal at Goodison Park, with his current contract up in little over 12 months.

Though talks between the two parties are [thought](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4512310/Everton-demand-50million-Ross-Barkley.html) to have taken place over the course of the season, no resolution has yet been found and both Arsenal and Tottenham are [believed](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4512310/Everton-demand-50million-Ross-Barkley.html) to be casting keen eyes over his situation.

So, should he opt to leave his boyhood home, the Toffees are [said](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4512310/Everton-demand-50million-Ross-Barkley.html) to be holding for a £50m fee, based on the price they [reportedly](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4512310/Everton-demand-50million-Ross-Barkley.html) quoted Manchester City way back in the summer of 2014.

As important as Barkley is to the cause at Goodison Park, the notion of receiving such a big fee for a player blighted by inconsistency is a very tempting one indeed.

**Thoughts?**
