# Everton: Fans react as Robin Olsen’s Instagram post is shared on Twitter

**It wasn’t the greatest weekend for those associated with Everton as the club lost [2-1](https://www.sofascore.com/everton-newcastle-united/OY) to Newcastle United in the Premier League.**

It seems like the [absence](https://www.sofascore.com/everton-newcastle-united/OY) of star players like James Rodriguez and Richarlison had a big impact on the Toffees and this will be worrying for Carlo Ancelotti.

Another noticeable [omission](https://www.sofascore.com/everton-newcastle-united/OY) from the starting eleven was England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, with Ancelotti claiming he needed a [rest](https://www.besoccer.com/new/pickford-subbed-at-everton-pressure-from-van-dijk-s-injury-or-just-a-rest-909549).

This meant that transfer deadline day signing [Robin Olsen](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/robin-olsen/profil/spieler/75458) was handed his Premier League debut. His Instagram post following the game was [shared on Twitter](https://twitter.com/EvertonNewsFeed/status/1323046264083222529?s=20) and it seems like the Swede is receiving a lot of positive reaction following his performance.

His post [said,](https://www.instagram.com/robinolsen25/) “First game completed but unfortunately not the result we wanted. Let’s keep fighting and prepare for \[the\] next game.”

It seems like many fans feel that there wasn’t much he could do for the goals, with one calling him ‘the only positive’ from the fixture.

### Here is how Everton fans reacted following the tweet:
