# Everton: Fans react to Bernard transfer claim from player’s agent

**Many Everton fans have been reacting to a transfer claim on [Bernard](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/everton-fc-news/everton-stance-over-bernard-revealed-following-deadline-interest-from-as-roma/) coming from the player’s agent Adriano Spadoto.**

Speaking to [LaRoma24](https://laroma24.it/esclusive/2020/10/ag-bernard-a-lr24-a-gennaio-possibile-nuovo-tentativo-della-roma-puo-partire-per-7-milioni), Spadoto claimed that they tried to convince the Merseyside club to let the Brazil international leave Goodison Park amid interest from Serie A outfit AS Roma.

He was also asked if there was a possibility that Bernard could leave the Toffees in the January transfer window, to which he replied that it was possible that he could be sold for around €7m, which is the equivalent of roughly £6.4m.

Despite [not](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/bernard/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/175169/plus/0?saison=2020&verein=29&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=) playing in a single minute in the Premier League so far this season, the 28-year old could still be a useful squad player to Carlo Ancelotti if Everton were to be blighted by injuries to their wide players.
