# Everton: Fans react to Alan Myers transfer update on Bernard

**Many Everton fans have been left reacting to a Transfer Deadline Day claim from Alan Myers on the future of Bernard.**

As per a [tweet](https://twitter.com/ALANMYERSMEDIA/status/1356261871830052865) from the sports news editor, the chances of the Brazil international moving abroad looks ‘very unlikely’ after he trained with the Goodison Park faithful on Monday.

He was strongly [linked](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/everton-fc-transfer-rumours/everton-fans-laud-bernard-transfer-update/) with a move away from the Merseyside club before the deadline hits, but now it looks as if he may be staying.

It could be a missed opportunity for Carlo Ancelotti’s team in terms of getting some money for Bernard, given that they signed the 28-year-old on a [free](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/bernard/transfers/spieler/175169) transfer and thus would have been able to make a profit on him.

However, to sell him without bringing in a replacement is very risky business and he could still have a place in the squad at the Toffees.

These Blues seemed split on whether selling the winger would be a good idea, with one EFC supporter claiming that the news was ‘gutting’ to hear:
