# Everton: Fans react to report on Josh King’s future

**Galatasaray have approached out-of-favour Everton forward Josh King, according to [Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-galatasaray-in-talks-to-sign-king-as-everton-make-up-their-minds/).**

The report stated that the 29-year-old is set to leave at the end of the season after failing to make an impression at Goodison Park.

He would depart on a free transfer, having only signed [a short-term deal](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55897493.amp) when he joined from Bournemouth in the January transfer window.

### King on the periphery at Goodison Park

The Norwegian has yet to start a game for the Blues, with [only nine substitute appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joshua-king/leistungsdaten/spieler/91059) under his belt, [five of which](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joshua-king/leistungsdaten/spieler/91059) have lasted less than 10 minutes.

Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti [said](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/feb/02/joshua-king-everton-future-down-to-the-player-says-carlo-ancelotti) after his arrival that ‘the dream for every one of us is for him to stay with us for a long time’, but he warned that it was ‘down to the player’ to convince the club that he merited a contract extension.

An exit for King could force the Toffees back into the market in search of cover for Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Twitter fan feed [The Toffee Blues](https://twitter.com/EvertonNewsFeed/status/1386368315434704902) relayed the Football Insider report, and here’s how some Everton fans reacted.
