# Everton: Fans slam link to Jhon Cordoba who is compared to Didier Drogba

**Many Everton fans have been slamming a transfer link to Koln ace Jhon Cordoba, as the German outlet [Express](https://www.express.de/sport/fussball/1--fc-koeln/jetzt-auch-fc-everton-dran-carlo-ancelotti-buhlt-um-fc-sturmstar-cordoba-37160548) have reported that the Merseyside club are joining Wolves and Sheffield United in registering their interest in signing him in the summer window.**

As per the outlet, Carlo Ancelotti is looking to increase his attacking options, but he will have to thin out his squad first.

Nevertheless, Cordoba could be available for a cut-price due to his contract situation, and he has even been [compared to Chelsea legend Didier Drogba](https://www.bundesliga.com/en/bundesliga/news/john-cordoba-who-is-cologne-s-colombian-striker-didier-drogba-10244).

However, despite [scoring a relatively impressive 14 goals and making a further three assists in 31 games in all competitions in the 2019/20 season](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jhon-cordoba/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/185245/plus/0?saison=2019&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=), it seems as if several members of the Goodison Park faithful do not fancy the 27-year old Colombian.

One EFC supporter claimed on Twitter that there are ‘other more important priorities’ in the market for them, and perhaps he has a point.

[Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison scored 13 goals each in the Premier League in the last campaign](https://www.whoscored.com/PlayerComparison), and so maybe signing another striker should be avoided for now.

> The only good thing about Cordoba are the brilliant swords that are handcrafted there. Unfortunately this man is not the right foil for the blues. Sorry but the 3 we have are better now and have more potential. NSNO. Paper talk again.
