# Everton: Fans slam possible Muhamed Besic exit as he attracts Premier League interest

**Many Everton fans have been slamming the possible exit of Muhamed Besic as the [Liverpool Echo](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/everton-outcast-attracting-premier-league-18597659) reported that he has no future at the Merseyside club.**

As per the outlet, the central midfield player is eyeing a move to another team in the Premier League and has also been attracting interest from sides in England’s highest division.

Besic had spent [most of the 2019/20 season on loan at Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United but the Blades did not take up the option to extend his stay](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/muhamed-besic/transfers/spieler/93905) following the implementation of Project Restart after the global pandemic outbreak.

He remains at Goodison Park for now but has not played for the Toffees since 2017, according to [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/muhamed-besic/transfers/spieler/93905).

Despite this, several EFC supporters did not seem keen to let the 27-year old go on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/LivEchoEFC/status/1283297747618144257), which may be understandable given that he won 2.4 of his duels per game in the Premier League in this campaign (via [Sofascore](https://www.sofascore.com/player/muhamed-besic/124960)), showing his fighting spirit.

One Blue even claimed, perhaps in a sarcastic manner, that he is ‘worth 50 mil’ because he ‘once had Messi in his pocket’, referring to the time that Besic impressed when man-marking the footballing great in a FIFA World Cup match for Bosnia and Herzegovina versus Argentina (per [Goal](https://www.goal.com/en/news/3790/world-cup-2014/2014/06/21/4896763/from-obscurity-to-facing-messi-the-fall-and-rise-of-muhamed)).
