# Everton: Fans wary of Morgan Schneiderlin despite positive stats from Chelsea game

**Everton fans questioned the consistency of Morgan Schneiderlin despite putting in a good performance during his side’s [3-1](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50611310) victory against Chelsea on Saturday.**

The game was the first for Duncan Ferguson in the dugout after replacing Marco Silva, who was [sacked](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11671/11837062/marco-silva-sacked-what-went-wrong-at-everton) following the heavy [5-2](https://talksport.com/football/638625/liverpool-5-2-everton-jurgen-klopp-changes/) defeat against the Toffees’ hated neighbours at Anfield.

He could not have wished for a better start as caretaker manager after a brace from Dominic Calvert-Lewin and a goal from Richarlison ensured that the Toffees got back to winning ways at home. The victory against the London based-outfit was their first win at Goodison Park since October.

Schneiderlin was one of the star performers during the victory and his stats can be found here:

The France international has come under intense [scrutiny](https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/morgan-schneiderlin-ill-show-fans-that-i-do-care-and-am-not-lazy-37tmg028b) in recent months after poor performances, losing his place in the side to Andre Gomes before the Portuguese midfielder suffered a serious [injury](https://talksport.com/football/635304/andre-gomes-injury-everton-star-gets-emotional/) against Tottenham earlier during the current campaign.

Supporters were not convinced with Schneiderlin and doubted his consistency going forward, making their thoughts clear about him on social media.

> You don’t need to run around likes headless chicken if your off the ball positioning is spot on. Alonso always said about himself that if he is having to make a tackle he’s already gone wrong.
