# Everton: Fans would sign Bournemouth ace Josh King; Newcastle United and Benfica also interested

**Lots of Everton fans would sign AFC Bournemouth ace Josh King as the** [Daily Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/) **(via** [The Toffee Blues](https://twitter.com/EvertonNewsFeed/status/1295653988487110656)**) have reported that the Merseyside club are competing with Newcastle United and SL Benfica for his services in the summer transfer window.**

Indeed, King may well be available for a cut-price following the relegation of the Cherries from the Premier League to the EFL Championship.

Despite this, the Norwegian international had a relatively decent 2019/20 season, scoring six goals and making a further four assists in 26 games in the top flight, according to [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joshua-king/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/91059/plus/0?saison=2019&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=GB1&pos=&trainer_id=).

Over the course of his career, King has been a fairly consistent goalscorer in England’s highest division, with two campaigns where he got into double figures and 48 strikes in total in 161 matches, as per the [website](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joshua-king/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/91059/plus/0?saison=&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=GB1&pos=&trainer_id=).

The striker also averaged more key passes and dribbles than Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Moise Kean and Richalrison in the EPL in the last term (via [Whoscored](https://www.whoscored.com/PlayerComparison)), suggesting that he could improve Carlo Ancelotti’s team.

These members of the Goodison Park faithful would sign King, with one EFC supporter even labelling him as ‘brilliant’ on Twitter:
