Everton: Patrick Boyland drops Jordan Pickford team news

Patrick Boyland has dropped some big Everton team news before they play Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon.
The Lowdown: FA Cup distraction
The FA Cup has been a nice distraction from the Toffees’ dreadful Premier League campaign and they may well fancy themselves to go through against the Eagles.
Should Everton sell Pickford?
Yes

No

Although Patrick Vieira’s team are ahead of the Merseysiders in the league table at this moment in time, at least Frank Lampard’s side avoided the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea in the draw. Also, they have a relatively decent record against Palace, winning more often than not and boasting a 39.6% win ratio.
The Latest: Pickford out
Taking to Twitter, Boyland has dropped some early team news ahead of the game in south London, confirming that both Jordan Pickford and Donny van de Beek will be absent.
The Athletic journalist revealed: “Donny van de Beek cup-tied but still not well. Jordan Pickford will also miss Sunday.”
The Verdict: Big blow for Everton
It is certainly a big blow for Lampard and Everton that Pickford will not be able to play this weekend, with the goalkeeper currently laid low with illness.
The England international, who has often been criticised in the past over some bad mistakes, has only made one error which led to a goal in the top flight so far this season, and he has largely been solid despite the leaky defence in front of him.
Lampard has recently gushed over the ‘world-class‘ saves that the 28-year-old made despite Everton narrowly losing 1-0 at home to Manchester City in recent weeks, and he has started in every Premier League match for which he has been available.
In order to give the Toffees the best chance of going through, the manager would have wanted his first-choice goalkeeper tomorrow, but now they will have to find a way to win without him – just as they did against Newcastle on Thursday.
