Everton: Fans agree with Phil McNulty verdict on Jordan Pickford

Jordan Pickford has come under a lot of scrutiny following his poor performance for Everton against Fleetwood Town.
The Toffees travelled to Highbury Stadium in their latest Carabao Cup fixture, where they emerged victorious on a 5-2 scoreline. Goals from Richarlison (two), Alex Iwobi, Bernard and Moise Kean sealed the win for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
Do Everton need to replace Jordan Pickford?
Yes

No

However, the match wasn’t all plain sailing for the visitors as Fleetwood’s two goals came from goalkeeping that many fans would have watched through their fingers.
After taking too long on the ball, Pickford was dispossessed in his own box and Fleetwood were able to capitalise on his slow decision making. Ten minutes later, the home side got another goal thanks to an acrobatic yet rather tame overhead strike from Callum Camps to make it 3-2.
The shot was straight at the Everton ‘keeper, who fumbled the ball and let it into his net. BBC Sport’s Phil McNulty has branded Pickford a ‘liability’ for Everton and many fans can’t help but agree.
One supporter has stated that Pickford ‘has to go’ whilst another has admitted that the £25m clib record signing is an ‘utter liability’.

I think he will have similar fall from grace that joe hart had. @Everton just need viable alternative… personally I’d get Romero in if he was available. On a positive we have a couple of lads @NielsNkounkou and Anthony Gordon they are sheer quality

Bang on Phil anyone else in goal it’s 3-0 and we are coasting time for a new keeper or maybe Romero to Atleast challenge him

Mate he arrived at liability territory after that derby game. He’s costing more than he saves. He’s just a cocky arrogant player who is a legend in his own mind.
I’ll not shed a tear when he eventually goes.
Sadly I think he’s here for the season— TheyKilledTheBanter (@davemurphy1307) September 23, 2020
he has to go and been saying that for months
