Some Everton fans have been blasting Andre Gomes as he was given a start by Carlo Ancelotti versus Manchester United.
As per the official Twitter page of the Blues, the 27 year-old has started alongside Abdoulaye Doucoure in the heart of the midfield.
The Merseyside club will be hoping that they can get through the Carabao Cup quarter-final tie against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team at Goodison Park, but some EFC supporters are not happy that he has started the game, crucifying the Portugal international throughout the buildup to kick-off and first-half.
The central midfield player had failed to score or assist for the Toffees in his past nine games in all competitions so far in the 2020/21 term (Transfermarkt), which needs to be improved upon given that he faces competition from the likes of Allan, Doucoure and Tom Davies to play in the centre of the park on a regular basis.
