Loads of Everton fans have been hailing Michael Keane as he spoke ahead of the Manchester United game in the official Blues’ matchday programme.
Speaking ahead of the match versus Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team, the England international said that he wants to be a ‘leader’ in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad, which shows a strong mindset of a player who may be looking to take over from Seamus Coleman as the club captain one day.
Should Keane start for Everton under Carlo Ancelotti?
Indeed, Keane has been an ever-present figure in the side so far in the 2020/21 term, playing in every single minute of the season which has seen the Merseyside club cement their place in the top four of the Premier League and reach a Carabao Cup quarter-final.
Everton fan reaction to Keane comments
These members of the Goodison Park faithful hailed the comments made by Keane on Twitter, with one EFC supporter even claiming that the 27 year-old central defender is ‘quality’:
