Everton: Fans hail Steven Pienaar as club posts throwback clip

Lots of Everton fans have been hailing Steven Pienaar as the Merseyside club posted a throwback clip of the former Toffees ace on their official Twitter page, whilst also citing that it was 13 years ago that he first joined the Goodison Park outfit.
As per the footage, Pienaar can be seen scoring a wide range of well-taken goals as the Blues reminisced about the day that he initially signed for them.
Did Everton underachieve under David Moyes?
Yes

No

The 38-year old netted 26 times in total during his time at Goodison Park, while also making a rather impressive 49 assists having played in 229 games in all competitions, according to Transfermarkt.
Pienaar also had a stellar career playing for the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Sunderland in England and also abroad with Ajax and Borussia Dortmund.
He also has 62 caps under his belt for his native South Africa, finding the back of the net three times (via the website).
These EFC supporters hailed the ex-winger following the club’s thoughtful gesture, with one fan even labelling him as a ‘baller‘:

What a brilliant player. Gutted when he went to Spurs and delighted when he came back. Wish we had a player like him on that left side again who could compliment Digne like he did with Bainsey.

Great player, won us some many valuable free kicks in the final third.

What a terrific player. That telepathic relationship he had with Baines was as good as any combination at that time
