Loads of Everton fans have been lauding Andre Gomes as it circulated on Twitter that he is likely to be fit for the Merseyside derby clash against bitter rivals Liverpool at Goodison Park on Sunday.
Who will win the Merseyside derby?
As per the club’s official website, the central midfield player has rejoined training with the first team ahead of the game against Jurgen Klopp’s men, as Carlo Ancelotti is optimistic that he can at least feature at some point in the match.
The 26-year old’s 2019/20 season so far has been scuppered by an ankle injury that he unfortunately picked up back in November of last year, which has meant that he has missed out on a possible 15 further appearances in this campaign, according to Transfermarkt.
However, the return of the Portuguese midfielder gives a much welcomed boost by members of the Toffees faithful, given that he was winning 4.1 duels and having 52.2 touches per Premier League game before his injury blow (via Sofascore), showing the importance of him winning and then getting on the ball for his team.
These EFC supporters lauded the news and hope that Gomes can play a big part in the match:

What a player. Recovers from injuries so quickly. Gives us a bit better option in the middle. Hope he blocks the Henderson shuffle with his skill and guile or does a Reidy. 😈😈😈
