Everton: Fans laud Danielle Turner as she is given new contract

Lots of Everton fans have been lauding Danielle Turner after the club captain for Everton Women signed a new two-year contract with the Merseyside team, committing her future to the Toffees until the end of June 2022, as per Everton’s official website.
As per the outlet, Turner came through the ranks at the side’s academy, and her leadership both on the pitch and off of it has arguably seen her become a key player over the years.
The full-back has been the skipper since the 2017/18 season, and has featured in more than 100 games in all competitions for EFC (via the website).
She has perhaps secured her place in Everton folklore already as she scored the Blues’ first goal at the club’s new Walton Hall Park stadium in the 2019/20 term (per evertonfc.com).
These Blues supporters lauded the news, and some may be hoping that Leighton Baines follows suit for the men’s team as he too has reportedly been offered an extension:
Should Baines sign a new deal at Everton?
