Everton: Fans laud Thierry Small goal for U23s - Everton News

Loads of Everton fans were left to laud Thierry Small as he scored for the U23s versus Leicester City in the Premier League 2 on Monday evening.

As per a tweet from the Goodison Park faithful, the 16-year-old fired the Merseyside club youngsters into the lead against the Foxes a day after making his senior debut for the first team in the 3-0 home win over Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup.

Should Small get more first-team opportunities for Everton?

He has now played in a total of 16 games in all competitions in the 2020/21 term, scoring no fewer than five goals (Transfermarkt), which is pretty impressive for a left-back.

If he keeps putting in good performances at youth level, then Carlo Ancelotti will no doubt consider playing him more in the first team, especially if Lucas Digne were to find himself out injured again for a sustained period of time.
