Everton striker Cenk Tosun is in an optimistic mood with a ‘new era’ set to begin at Goodison Park after the departure of Carlo Ancelotti last week.
The 30-year-old told Turkish outlet TRT Spor that he believed he could ‘still do well’ on Merseyside following the Italian’s exit from the club to rejoin Real Madrid.
Tosun returned to his old club on loan in February, having previously had a spell at Crystal Palace. The 30-year-old only played 175 minutes for Besiktas before suffering a patella injury, but managed to score three goals in that time.
Tosun could follow Josh King out the door
Fan account Everton News Feed relayed the Turkey striker’s comments, and here’s what some supporters made of those remarks.
