Norwich City are interested in Everton’s Josh King, according to freelance sports journalist Pete O’Rourke.
King only signed a short-term deal when he joined Everton in January, and so would be available for Norwich on a free transfer.
The Canaries have secured promotion back to the Premier League after their relegation in 2019/20, so will presumably be looking at players with top flight experience like King to add some extra talent to their squad.
King fails to make an impression at Goodison
Everton recruited King from Bournemouth as a back-up striking option and have been paying him £45,000 per week, but the 29-year-old has yet to open his account for the Toffees.
He’s played only 137 minutes across 11 substitute appearances.
He came closest to scoring in the 1-0 victory over West Ham earlier this month when he directed a header onto the post.
King is only of two Everton players whose contract is due to expire at the end of the current campaign – the other is 28-year-old midfielder Muhamed Besic.
Fan feed The Toffee Blues relayed O’Rourke’s King claim, and here’s what supporters made of it.
