Everton fans are more than aware of the fact their local veteran could be on his way out of the club this summer.
Leighton Baines has been an Evertonian all his life and has sported the famous royal blue jersey for almost 13 years. In his iconic era with the Toffees, the 35-year-old has made 417 appearances, scoring 39 goals and assisting 67 in that time (via Transfermarkt).
Should Everton give Leighton Baines a new contract?
The official Everton Twitter account has invited fellow Blues to get to know the left-back a little bit more, through the ‘Name Game’. The feature has focused on sharing some personal thoughts and interest from Baines as fans eagerly await the return of watching Everton back in action in the Premier League.
One supporter has tweeted: ‘Announce five year contract’ in reply to the club post. The veteran will be a free agent once the transfer window opens unless he agrees new terms with the club, which fans are desperate to see happen.

It seems a lot of other Blues are also singing from the same hymn sheet and just want to see the news that Baines will be staying at the club a little longer.
