Everton manager Frank Lampard has dropped a double injury update ahead of the Toffees' upcoming Premier League clash against Wolves on Boxing Day.

Following the conclusion of the World Cup in Qatar, the Premier League is set to resume over the next few days.
Everton's next game sees them take on another club who have had a tough start to their season - Julen Lopetegui's Wolves, who sit bottom of the table and are the only top-flight side to have scored less than the Toffees in 2022/23.
Looking ahead to Monday's clash at Goodison Park, Lampard has dropped an update regarding the fitness of two of his players.
The Latest: Lampard's double injury update
Speaking in his latest press conference (via Liverpool Echo), Lampard shared updates on Dominic Calvert-Lewin - who had three separate injury issues at one point last month - and Andros Townsend, who has been out of action since March with a cruciate ligament injury.
The Everton boss said: "Dominic, it’s going to be tight [for] Wolves. He’s going to be training over the next couple of days, trying to push him a bit for match fitness.
"The injury feels good, which is the best news. The last thing I want to do is go too soon with him with match fitness, that’s the question mark over Wolves with Dominic and we’ve got a lot of games coming up.
"With Andros, he had a bit of a setback so he’s not going to be ready for these next batch of games."
The Verdict: Fingers crossed
While it may take some time to see Townsend back in the fold, everyone at Goodison Park will undoubtedly have their fingers crossed that Calvert-Lewin will be fit enough to play a part against Wolves.
Even though Everton have only scored four goals across the six league games in which the striker has featured this season, having him available on Monday to take on the Old Gold, who have conceded seven more goals than the Toffees at this stage of the campaign, would still give them a potent focal point up front.
Either way, with the Toffees currently hovering just above the relegation zone, Lampard and Everton supporters will be hoping that they can start getting some points on the board soon and climb up the table to avoid being involved in another relegation battle in 2023.
