Everton continued their poor recent form with a 3-1 loss against Manchester United, their third loss in a row, despite a goal from Bernard giving the Toffees the lead.

The Brazilian international's low strike past David de Gea put Carlo Ancelotti's side ahead at Goodison Park, but that was as good as it got for Everton. Bruno Fernandes then netted twice before Edinson Cavani bagged in the last minute of injury-time to give the Red Devils all three points.

Whilst his side may have been defeated, Bernard was still happy with his strike, taking to Twitter to share a video of his goal with the caption: "A finish that deserved to count for something".

Given how the match ended, it is hardly surprising that Everton fans were disgusted with Bernard's comments. They took to the social media platform to share their anger.
