Everton are the only club willing to make a 'suitable' bid to sign Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech this January, according to reports.

The Lowdown: Toffees linked...

The Morocco winger, who has found regular game time difficult to come by under manager Graham Potter, has been heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.

Reports have suggested that Everton are in the mix to sign Ziyech with reliable sources claiming they are even open to making a £25 million bid for his services.

The Toffees have apparently turned towards his signing after Tottenham hijacked their move for Netherlands international Arnaut Danjuma.

The Latest: Everton only team willing to make suitable bid...

According to journalist Rudy Galetti, Everton appear to be in pole position as things stand, considering they're the only side willing to make a 'suitable' bid.

He explained:

"#CFC are open to sell him permanently only for a "good" offer: as of now, just #Everton is willing to make a suitable proposal. #ASRoma never really in the race."

The Verdict: Make the move?

Despite not being favoured much by Chelsea, the 29-year-old has proven that he still has the ability to heavily influence games and provide that degree of magic.

He was one of Morocco's star players on their run to an unprecedented World Cup semi-final as they became the first ever African nation to make it that far.

According to WhoScored, Ziyech ranked in their top three for best-performing players overall and averaged more attempts at goal and key passes per 90 than anyone in their side during the tournament.

He started every game en-route to their semi-final defeat to France, chipping in with a goal and an assist whilst earning praise from rival national team managers.

Spain boss Luis Enrique called Ziyech one of Morocco's 'extraordinary' players for his exploits in Qatar and we believe he could come as the perfect Danjuma alternative.

To add more evidence, former Everton fan favourite Tim Cahill has branded the winger 'world class' in recent seasons.
