Everton podcaster Lee McClean has criticised the performance of Antony Gordon in the Toffees' 0-0 draw at Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

The Lowdown: Point gained

Given that the home side dominated possession and had far more shots on goal than the Goodison Park outfit (SofaScore), the visitors may feel like it was a point gained at Craven Cottage rather than two points dropped.

Fulham are currently doing very well in seventh place in the table, so the Merseysiders could take the point and move on.

The Latest: Gordon criticised

Taking to Twitter, McClean was particularly critical of Gordon's performance, claiming that the Everton winger was 'so poor' on Saturday.

The podcaster raged: "So poor Gordon. Sorry but there’s no way to sugar coat it."

The Verdict: Not his best

It was certainly not Gordon's best game, as he struggled to put his stamp on the match.

The winger failed to record a single shot on target, successful dribble or key pass and was guilty of giving possession away on 15 separate occasions, the most of any outfield Everton player (SofaScore).

The fact that he only managed 34 touches of the ball, 20 fewer than Toffees goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, and was subbed off in the final few minutes with the score still at 0-0 emphasises how minimal an impact the 21-year-old had against Fulham.

With the likes of Dwight McNeil and James Garner coming off the bench, Gordon may now fear that his starting place is at risk.
