Everton are reportedly still an option for free agent Isco after a move to Konyaspor in Turkey fell through.

The Lowdown: Everton interested in Isco

It was recently reported that Everton hold an interest signing the former Spain international, who is free to move to another club outside of the January transfer window as a free agent.

However, Konyaspor's president admitted a few days ago that they were in talks to sign Isco, with the Turkish transfer window not ending until Wednesday.

The Latest: Isco still an option for Everton

As per reports from Spain, a potential move from Isco to Konyaspor has fallen through, as the Turkish club have decided to sign one of their other targets instead.

Goodison Park is still thought to be a possible destination for the attacking midfielder, but he prefers a move to the MLS at this moment in time.

The Verdict: Experience could be crucial

After beating Premier League leaders Arsenal 1-0 on Saturday, Everton will be more confident of avoiding relegation, as new manager Sean Dyche seemed to get a tune out of his players straight away.

Previously hailed as a 'brilliant footballer' and a 'true magician' by Football Talent Scout Jacek Kulig, Isco has a lot of experience of playing at the highest level, winning the Champions League no fewer than five times with Real Madrid, along with several other major trophies during his time at Los Blancos.

His winning mentality would be very useful in the Toffees' dressing room, and after losing Anthony Gordon to Newcastle United in January, they could do with another attacking option in the squad.
