Everton have reportedly been 'proposed' a deal for Marseille striker Arkadiusz Milik.

The Lowdown: Striker needed

Following the injury to Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and the fact that they have only managed to score one goal in the opening two Premier League games, a new striker is certainly needed at Goodison Park before September 1.

There are thought to be a wide number of names on their shortlist, and it is unclear at this stage who they are going to go for to fill that position.

The Latest: Milik 'proposed'

Taking to Twitter, journalist Karim Bennai has revealed that the Goodison Park outfit, as well as Manchester United and Juventus, have been 'proposed' Milik by Marseille:

"OM would have proposed Arkadiusz Milik to several European clubs. Among the clubs surveyed there would be Everton, Manchester United or Juventus."

The Verdict: Interesting

Milik certainly offers an interesting alternative option to the Merseyside club.

Toffees supporters will remember former manager Carlo Ancelotti reportedly wanting to sign him back in 2020, and the Poland international could be someone they revisit under Frank Lampard.

The 28-year-old has scored a very impressive 155 senior goals for both club and country combined throughout his career so far, and he has already featured in both games for Marseille this season, meaning that he should be fresh and raring to go for the Blues straight away.

Nonetheless, if the club fail to land any of their other striker targets, then it is reassuring to know that they could do a deal for Milik.
