Many Everton fans have been expressing their delight as an update emerged on Nuno Espirito Santo.

As per talkSPORT, Tottenham Hotspur have now set their sights on appointing the former Wolves boss as their new coach. The news outlet added that he is thought to be a strong contender for the vacant position at Goodison Park after the departure of Carlo Ancelotti to Real Madrid.

Nuno's preferred three-at-the-back formation, which he often deployed at Molineux, may not suit the Merseyside club, especially if it ends up turning into a back five while defending and duly seen as a negative tactic.

Everton will surely be looking to score more often next season, having managed just 47 in the Premier League last term, the fewest by far of any team in the top half of the table (Sky Sports). Therefore, it is not a surprise to see so many Toffees fans wanting him to join Spurs instead.
