Some Everton fans have been left raging as a revelation emerged involving Marcel Brands.
Writing in a piece for The Athletic, Patrick Boyland and Greg O'Keefe have taken an in-depth look at the Director of Football and his time at Goodison Park so far.
They claim that he has never had a 'free hand' at the Merseyside club, as managers are picked by the owner, and multiple people feed in with transfers, not just Brands himself.
It seems a lot of Toffees supporters agreed with them, and took a dig at the board for not including him more in important decisions, in a period where the Blues have not finished higher than seventh spot in the Premier League table since the 2014/15 season, and have still not won a major trophy since the mid-90's.

These Blues were left raging as the claim on Brands was shared by Boyland on his official Twitter page:
