Everton: Toffees dealt more injury worries alongside Jordan Pickford -Everton News

Everton have been dealt some more injury worries alongside goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

The Lowdown: Pickford setback

Pickford unfortunately picked up a thigh injury after his heroics in the 0-0 draw in the Merseyside derby against Liverpool in the Premier League.

Speaking to the media in his pre-game press conference ahead of their match against West Ham United at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon, Frank Lampard has confirmed that his number one goalkeeper is not set to return until after the international break, where they are targeting games against Southampton and Manchester United for his potential return.

The Latest: More injury worries

In his press conference, Lampard also revealed that Yerry Mina ‘won’t be fit for a few weeks’, and that is the same for Mason Holgate.

He also confirmed that while Andros Townsend is ‘working incredibly hard’ to get fit, he will not return anytime soon.

The Verdict: Headache for Lampard

With all of these first-team players not returning until after the international break, Lampard has a real headache in terms of team selection for their game against West Ham.

Ben Godfrey is another player who is currently injured, and is not expected to be back until after the FIFA World Cup ends in Qatar.

That makes three central defenders out with injury, so only three centre-backs in James Tarkowski, Conor Coady and Michael Keane are fit and available to Lampard at the moment, severely limiting his options.
