Everton are 'hopeful' of signing Ben Brereton Diaz, Leander Dendoncker and Idrissa Gueye before the transfer window closes.

The Lowdown: Late business expected

The Goodison Park outfit are expected to do some late business before the deadline, with the signing of defensive midfielder Gueye from PSG thought to be imminent.

Salomon Rondon is also in talks over an exit away from the Merseyside club, meaning that they will almost certainly go in for a new striker following the injury to Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

The Latest: Triple swoop

Taking to Twitter, transfer expert Graeme Bailey has revealed that Frank Lampard's team are 'hopeful' of signing Dendoncker as well as Gueye, while 'talks continue' over a deal to bring Brereton Diaz to the Toffees:

"Everton hopeful of Leander Dendoncker and Idrissa Gueye deals - talks continue over Ben Brereton Diaz."

The Verdict: Exciting

It is certainly exciting for the supporters to potentially see as many as three fresh faces come through the doors before the deadline hits.

For Gueye, it would be a return to the club that he made Premier League experience with Wolves, would add extra cover in the middle of the park.

Hailed as a ‘beast’ by former Blackburn manager Tony Mowbray, now at Sunderland, Rovers striker Brereton Diaz would also be a handy addition to the Blues' attacking options, after scoring an impressive 22 goals in the Championship last season, while he already has two to his name from his first six matches in division this term (Transfermarkt).

Nonetheless, if they can get all three in, it would give the club a real boost ahead of the rest of the campaign.
