Everton have finally held an official announcement ceremony for new recruit Niels Nkounkou.
The 19-year-old joined the Merseyside outfit in August on a free transfer from Marseille. However, due to UK lockdown regulations, a photoshoot upon his arrival was unable to take place.
Is James Rodriguez to Everton one of the best signings of the transfer window?
Despite joining with the intention to link up with the under-23 team, Nkounkou has already made his first senior appearance for the Toffees.
He played a full 90 minutes debut against Salford City in the Carabao Cup last week. Everton made easy work of brushing aside the League Two outfit, coming out with a 3-0 win in the second round of the competition (via Transfermarkt).
The teenager could become a well-utilised member of the squad during the Blues’ cup runs and could potentially be named in Carlo Ancelotti’s lineup to face Fleetwood this evening.
A lot of Everton fans also seem to think so as they flocked to the club announcement to share their excitement over the new addition. One supporter thinks that the Frenchman is ‘some signing’, whilst another has branded him a ‘serious player’.

Great signing from Marcel this was. Considering he cost little-nothing, surely we can expect great things when he has a bit of cash to throw at the youngsters. https://t.co/FrUjdumnSu
