Everton: Fans are delighted as Joao Virginia pens a new deal with the Toffees

Everton youth goalkeeper Joao Virginia has signed a new four-year contract with the Merseyside outfit.
The Portuguese shot-stopper has committed his future to the exciting project unfolding under new manager Carlo Ancelotti.
Should Joao Virginia be given more time in the Everton first team?
Yes please

No thanks

Virginia will be the only senior player challenging Jordan Pickford for the No.1 spot in the team, as Jonas Lossl is currently dealing with a back injury, according to Phil Kirkbride.
The 20-year-old has made just one appearance for the Everton first team so far. In fact, he made his professional debut for the Blues last week against Salford. The Carabao Cup fixture was an easy 3-0 win for the home side and Virginia also kept a clean sheet (via Transfermarkt).
Fans are delighted with the news and have flocked to the club’s update to congratulate the young goalkeeper. Some are even tipping the Portugal youth international to usurp Pickford as first choice.
One supporter has said he is in fact ‘better than Pickford’ whilst another says they would ‘play him tomorrow’ against Fleetwood.
