Loads of Everton fans have been hailing a transfer link to AS Roma ace Alessandro Florenzi as Gianluca DiMarzio reported that the Merseyside club are looking at the possibility of signing him in the summer window.
However, as per the Sky Sports Italy journalist, Carlo Ancelotti’s team will likely face competition from Atalanta for his services.
Would Florenzi start for Everton?
Indeed, the 29-year old spent the second half of the 2019/20 season on loan at Valencia in Spain, where he played in 14 games in all competitions, according to Transfermarkt.
The fact that Florenzi was shipped out on loan at his age may suggest that he is surplus to requirements in Rome, which could mean that the Toffees could pounce for his signature.
Vastly experienced, the Italian international has played in a total of 408 matches in his club career so far, as well as earning 35 caps for his country at senior level (via Transfermarkt).
Florenzi is perhaps one of the most versatile players out there too, as he has shown that he can play in a wide number of various positions on the pitch, as one member of the Goodison Park faithful on Twitter described him as ‘exceptionally well-rounded’.

Personally think he’d be a great signing. Brings experience and can also play the RM position if Carlo sticks with a 4-4-2!

Yes! He is a hard worker with a lot of heart so he would suit us preferably on loan.

Florenzi is an exceptionally well-rounded footballer and would be a quality addition. Everton looking at the right level of player but given their ages the fees have to be spot on.
