Many Everton fans have been left hailing a transfer update on Cenk Tosun as Patrick Boyland has reported that CSKA Moscow are interested in him.
As per The Athletic journalist, the former Besiktas man is subject to an enquiry from the Russian club to take him on a short-term loan deal.
Should Everton sell Tosun?
The Turkey international has not exactly pulled up trees since making his move to the Goodison Park faithful a few years ago, scoring a mere 11 goals and making just six assists in 58 games in total over all competitions across the last four consecutive terms (Transfermarkt).
Thus, with just a few days of the January window remaining, it would be a wise idea for the Merseyside club to get the 29-year-old off of the wage books and potentially invest in another striker to give some more sufficient cover to Dominic Calvert-Lewin up top for Carlo Ancelotti’s team.
Everton fan reaction to Tosun update
These Toffees hailed the update from Boyland on Twitter:
“I’ll start packing”
“Good, hope they keep him”
“Time to leave.”
“We are short with him, offers nothing”
“I would settle being short up front if it meant he left”
