Everton: Fans laud transfer link to Alexandru Cicaldau as Sampdoria also interested
Loads of Everton fans have been lauding the latest transfer link to Alexandru Cicaldau as the Sunday Mirror (via The Gwladys Street) reported that both the Merseyside club as well as Serie A outfit Sampdoria are interested in signing him in the upcoming summer transfer window.
As per the outlet, scouts from Goodison Park have been watching him throughout the 2019/20 season and are apparently ready to make their forthcoming move, with the Universitatea Craiova ace currently being valued at £3.5m.
Cicaldau has been enjoying a relatively impressive campaign in Romania so far, scoring 15 goals and providing eight assists in 38 games in all competitions, according to Transfermarkt.
For a midfield player, this a pretty good return, and the 23-year old has also shown his versatility by being able to play both defensively and in an attacking role in the middle of the park (via Transfermarkt).
