Some Everton fans have been lauding Kim Min-jae after a recent report from The Guardian stated that the player is in line for a move to a Premier League club in the upcoming summer transfer window.
As per the report, there are several other Premier League teams chasing his signature, including Southampton and Watford, as well as European clubs such as RB Leipzig, Lazio, Porto and PSV Eindhoven.
The 23-year old has been nicknamed ‘the Monster’ and is currently valued at £13.5m by his Chinese Super League side Beijing Guoan. Playing in the heart of defence, Min-jae could offer a much younger alternative to 35-year old Thiago Silva, who has recently been linked with a move to the Merseyside club after his contract runs out at Paris Saint Germain.
Who is the better centre-half at Everton?
Comparing the two men in their respective domestic leagues this season, Min-jae averaged more interceptions, clearances and blocks than the Brazilian, according to Whoscored.
These Everton supporters lauded the transfer news on Twitter as they seemed to welcome his potential arrival to Goodison Park:
If Carlo wants him, he is more than good enough for me.
