Lots of Everton fans have been lauding a transfer link to former Chelsea ace Jeremie Boga as Sky Sports have reported that the Merseyside club are interested in signing the Sassuolo man in the summer transfer window.
As per the outlet, Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund are also interested in securing his services, but the Italian team are apparently likely to demand a fee in the excess of £35 million.
Should Everton pay £35 million for Boga?
Boga has been enjoying a rather impressive 2019/20 season in Serie A so far, scoring 11 goals and making four assists in 34 games, according to Transfermarkt.
Comparing the stats of the winger in Italy’s top flight to those of Alex Iwobi, Theo Walcott and Bernard in the Premier League last campaign, Boga has averaged more shots, key passes and dribbles per match (via Whoscored).
Indeed, his superior stats in key areas for a wide man may be enough to persuade Carlo Ancelotti to fork out £35 million on him.
These members of the Goodison Park faithful lauded the link to the 23-year old on Twitter
This guy is good, if we can get him for about 20-25mil I’d go pick him up myself
