Loads of Everton fans have been lauding a transfer link to Bartlomiej Dragowski as Tuttomercatoweb reported that both the Merseyside club and Premier League rivals Chelsea are targeting him in the upcoming summer window.
However, in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport (via TuttoMercatoWeb), the Fiorentina goalkeeper said that his future is in Florence and has also extended his contract with the Italian club, but this does not mean that Carlo Ancelotti’s team may not be able to persuade him to move to the Premier League if the deal is right.
Dragowski has kept seven clean sheets and conceded 37 goals in 27 appearances in all competitions so far in the 2019/20 season, according to Transfermarkt. On the other hand, Jordan Pickford has kept one more clean sheet but conceded 51 times in 34 games in all competitions so far this term, as per Transfermarkt.
The Toffees’ number one concedes around 1.5 goals per match, whereas Dragowski’s ratio is roughly 1.37, meaning that on average the Polish keeper lets in fewer goals.
Should Pickford be sold by Everton?
These Blues fans on Twitter lauded the link to the 22-year old , with a few suggesting that he could replace Pickford:
I'd literally take anyone over Pickford 👌👌
