Many Everton fans have reacted as Paul Brown relayed news about Djibril Sidibe on his official Twitter page that was suggested by L'Equipe.

As per the journalist, the Merseyside club will apparently not be taking up the option to buy the 27-year old in the upcoming summer transfer window. The Toffees are also allegedly not convinced that he has shown enough for the commitment to buy him and, as a result, they will use what transfer budget they have to prioritise other areas, with another loan much more likely.

With Seamus Coleman already at right-back and Jonjoe Kenny due to return from his loan spell at Schalke 04 in the Bundesliga, indeed there may not be room for the Frenchman.

One Everton supporter even suggested that Carlo Ancelotti should sign Max Aarons from Norwich City instead to provide cover in that position if needed - the 20-year-old has averaged 1.3 successful tackles and 1.3 completed dribbles per game this season (as per WhoScored).

These Blues fans reacted to the update on Twitter, with a few supporters seemingly happy to have Kenny back for the next season instead:
