Many Everton fans have slammed Theo Walcott as TEAMtalk reported that as many as five clubs from the Premier League are interested in bringing him in on loan for the rest of the 2020/21 term before the summer transfer window shuts.
According to the outlet, the 31-year old is not thought to be in the long-term plans of Carlo Ancelotti, as London duo Crystal Palace and West Ham United have both made contact with the Toffees over a possible deal.
Intermediaries have also spoken to both Fulham and Newcastle United over a potential move, while his former club Southampton have also been asked if they would consider taking him back to the Saints.
Prior to this afternoon’s clash against Brighton, Walcott has only played in one game so far this season, and a scoring record of just 11 goals in 84 matches in all competitions (via Transfermarkt) has perhaps not been good enough for a winger who cost £20.25m from Arsenal two years ago.
Should Everton sell Walcott?
These members of the Goodison Park faithful slammed the Englishman on Twitter, with one Everton supporter even claiming that he has been a ‘terrible waste of money:’
Please take him
