Many Everton fans have been left to slam a transfer update on Valere Germain as L'Equipe (via Sport Witness) have reported that the Toffees have approached him.

As per the news outlet, the Marseille striker is currently out of favour with new manager Jorge Sampaoli, and Bordeaux and Rennes have expressed an interest in signing him, while AC Milan as well as the Goodison Park faithful have also 'come forward'.

Germain would be signed with the view of being a squad player at the Merseyside club, but there does not seem to be any concrete move as of yet.

Nonetheless, at 30 years of age and with a mere three goals in 32 games in total over all competitions so far in the 2020/21 term (Transfermarkt), he is not a player that Carlo Ancelotti's team should really be pursuing in the upcoming summer window, at least judging by what the fans think.
