Everton: Fans would sign Samuel Umtiti as Toffees contact Barcelona over availability

Loads of Everton fans would sign Samuel Umtiti as Mundo Deportivo reported that the Merseyside club have contacted FC Barcelona over his availability in the upcoming summer transfer window.
However, as per the outlet, Carlo Ancelotti’s men face plenty of competition from the likes of fellow Premier League rivals Arsenal and West Ham United as well as in France with Umtiti’s old team Olympique Lyon in addition to Olympique Marseille and Rennes all interested.
The £28.8 million-valued ace was limited to just 18 games in all competitions this season through various injury woes, according to Transfermarkt, but will be looking to get back to full fitness in time for the restart of the 2019/20 UEFA Champions League.
Comparing the stats of Umtiti in La Liga to those of Mason Holgate, Michael Keane and Yerry Mina in the top flight in this campaign, the French international averaged the most interceptions, and passes at a higher success percentage (via Whoscored).
Would Umtiti start for Everton?
Yes

No

Given these stats and the fact that he is 26 years of age, perhaps Carlo Ancelotti would be wise to buy the man coming into his prime years, providing that he can get over his injury issues.
These EFC supporters seemed happy to sign Umtiti on Twitter, with one Toffee even claiming that ‘he’d be our VVD’, referring of course to Virgil Van Dijk, who played in every league match in the title-winning season for Liverpool:
Rather him than tons of the names linked.

Most definitely a option if he remains fit but Dias of Benfica would be more realistic

On loan sure thing. His injury record is quite dodgy so wouldn’t sign him up permanently from the off
