Everton: Toffees target Fikayo Tomori, Jean-Clair Todibo and Jerome Onguene as Ben Godfrey alternatives

Everton are looking at FC Barcelona ace Jean-Clair Todibo, Chelsea man Fikayo Tomori and RB Salzburg star Jerome Onguene, according to The Athletic, as possible alternatives to Norwich City player Ben Godfrey to sign before the summer transfer window officially shuts.
As claimed by Italian football journalist and transfer guru Fabrizio Romano on his official Twitter page, the latter is set to sign for the Merseyside club, but this will be pending a successful medical and if the deal were to break down somehow, Carlo Ancelotti’s team may look at the possibility of signing Tomori, Todibo or Onguene as alternatives to the 22-year old.
Should Everton start Godfrey?
Yes

No

Each central defender arguably has their merits to take their place in the current squad at Goodison Park. Tomori has experience already playing in English football at Stamford Bridge, and in the 2019/20 term in the Premier League, the English international won a rather impressive 5.2 duels a game, and also averaged 2.8 clearances, 1.9 tackles and 1.5 interceptions per match, as per Sofascore.
Todibo won 5.4 duels per game while on loan at FC Schalke 04 in the Bundesliga in the last campaign, and also averaged 2.6 clearances, 1.9 interceptions and 1.9 tackles a match (via the website).
Onguene completes the trio of centre-backs to have won more than five duels (5.7) a game while playing in the Austrian top flight in the 2019/20 season, as he also averaged three clearances, two interceptions and 1.2 tackles per match (per Sofascore).
Indeed, if the Godfrey move were somehow to fall through, then perhaps the Toffees have a fine list of alternatives to bring in before the market officially closes.
