Everton do want to sign Luis Alberto from Lazio, according to Radio Radio director Ilario Di Giovambattista.
Speaking on Radio Radio Lo Sport, he claimed that Carlo Ancelotti would ‘undoubtedly’ want to bring the Spain international to English football and that he has ‘enchanted’ the Italian boss.
Would Alberto be a good signing for Everton?
It is not clear as of yet as to whether this move would be made in the January transfer window or whether the Goodison Park faithful would wait until the summer, but it seems as if Alberto has emerged as a prime transfer target for the Merseyside club.
Alberto can be ‘extraordinary’ on his day
Indeed, Alberto can be an ‘extraordinary’ player on his day, as he generally has an eye for both a goal and an assist.
In 144 matches over all competitions for Lazio in the last five terms, he has scored a pretty impressive 27 goals and supplied a further 44 assists, considering that he has mainly operated from the centre of the park (Transfermarkt).
Would Alberto cost a lot of money?
Di Giovambattista did not quote a specific price tag for Alberto, although Transfermarkt currently value the 28-year-old at £45m.
Aside from the fact that he used to play for Liverpool, he would certainly be a good purchase by the Blues.
