# Everton: Further Phillipe Coutinho links force fans to react

**Plenty of Everton fans have reacted to a latest [report linking](https://www.footballinsider247.com/everton-told-they-can-land-coutinho-for-knockdown-price/) them with Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho.**

The Toffees are looking to build their squad in what will be Carlo Ancelotti’s first summer transfer window, and they have now been told that they can [sign him](https://www.footballinsider247.com/everton-told-they-can-land-coutinho-for-knockdown-price/) for almost half the price Barca paid for him.

27-year-old midfielder Coutinho has emerged as a target with La Liga giants Barca keen to sell the former Liverpool man.

Currently on loan with Bayern Munich, [Coutinho has been informed](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-8083239/Barcelona-rule-Philippe-Coutinho-return-Bayern-Munich-not-sign-permanently.html) that the Bundesliga club will not look to make the move a permanent one and that he will instead return to the Camp Nou.

Joining Barca from Liverpool in [January 2018](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42580173) for a fee rising to £142m, it was expected that Coutinho would go on to play a key part in the Catalan side’s future, but  after just two seasons he was deemed surplus to requirements.

Now, linked with a move to Everton, Goodison Park fans will remember the Brazilian for his time at nearby rivals Liverpool.
